A Rackless System Designed for Lightweight Riding

The ADVBags 16 are built on the same proven rackless architecture as its bigger brothers.

At the core is a rigid base plate system that anchors the holsters securely to the bike using a universal six-strap mounting concept. No racks required.

Once mounted and tensioned properly, the system becomes one solid unit with the bike — staying stable in rough terrain and resisting unwanted movement.

This is luggage designed to move with you, not against you.

Overview

The 16 configuration runs exclusively with side dry bags.

There is no native top bag included.

This keeps the system narrow, lightweight, and unobtrusive — especially when standing on the pegs or navigating technical terrain.

You carry only what matters:

Tools.
A rain jacket.
Spare gloves.
Water.
Snacks.

If additional storage is ever required, the system integrates seamlessly with a Tail Pack on top — without compromising its compact base design.

Base

The foundation of the ADVBags system is a three-piece base plate that bolts together into a solid, unified structure. This modular design allows for a universal fit across a wide range of bikes, adapting easily to different seat shapes and rear frame layouts. The base secures to the bike using four attachment straps, all fully replaceable in case of wear or damage.

To protect your bike, each section of the base includes soft, replaceable padding that sits between the plate and the bike. However, we do recommend applying a protective film to the contact areas on your bike. If gravel, wet sand, or other debris gets caught between the ADVBags and your plastics, it can scratch the paint or dull the surface over time.

Along the sides, you’ll find multiple anchor points integrated directly into the structure, ideal for mounting accessory bags, bottle holders, or other add-ons you might need on longer rides.

It’s a stable, low-profile base built to handle tough terrain without compromising flexibility or function.

Dry bags

The ADVBags 16 system includes two 8 L side dry bags built from durable, waterproof materials and designed for tough use on and off the bike.

Air release valves make it easy to compress the bags tightly, while a pull strap at the bottom helps you seat them fully into the holsters for a clean, secure fit. Magnetic buckles keep closures quick and glove-friendly, and a clear window on each bag allows for a quick visual check of your gear without unpacking.

Extras

Every set of ADVBags 16 comes with a set of smart extras to extend fitment options and cover unexpected needs on the trail.

An aluminum Heat Shield is included to protect the bags from high-mounted exhausts, easy to install and compatible with most dual sport setups. For bikes that need custom mounting points, you’ll find two open Anchors, giving you flexibility to create secure strap points where needed.

The kit also includes a spare attachment strap and a spare compression strap, so you’re covered in case of loss or damage during travel.

Do the ADVBags fit YOUR bike?

Yes – thanks to a universal attachment system that uses six replaceable straps with non-slip buckles, ADVBags can be mounted on almost any bike.

To install them, your bike just needs:

• One attachment point at the rear (like a luggage rack or fender brace)
• Two side attachment points where the subframe meets the main frame (usually the passenger footpeg brackets)

If you ride a dual-sport and don’t have a solid mounting point at the rear, you can use the included metal anchors to create your own attachment points.
